I’m Jane Leverich.

I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, writer and editor based in Denver, Colorado. My work sits at the intersection of nutrition, food, wellness and culture—especially French culture.

My love of food started long before I became a dietitian. I spent time living in France during my undergrad, where food was less about rules and more about pleasure, culture and connection. Long lunches, wandering through markets, lingering over meals—it was there that I really fell in love with food and began to understand that eating well could be about so much more than nutrition.

Years later, I went on to earn my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, with training at institutions including Children’s Hospital Colorado and the Anschutz Medical Campus. That education gave me the science to understand how food fuels the body. But my approach has always been shaped by that earlier lesson: food should fuel your life, too.

Today, I work as a writer and editor, creating nutrition and wellness content that makes complicated information feel approachable, useful and, ideally, a little more fun. I’m especially interested in the space where nutrition meets real life—from what to eat before a mountain hike to the foods worth keeping stocked in your kitchen to making sense of whatever nutrition trend is taking over the internet this week.

I currently live in Colorado, and I love the mountain lifestyle, being outside, moving my body, cooking something delicious after a long day and finding food that helps me feel energized for whatever adventure comes next. Living in in the mountains has only deepened my belief that nourishment isn’t about eating perfectly—it’s about having the energy and confidence to fully participate in your life.

Through my writing, editorial work and partnerships, I want to make nutrition feel less like a set of rules and more like a tool for living well. If you want to read more of my inner thoughts, I invite you to subscribe to my Substack!
